PT, for those of you who are not familiar with the initials, stands for many things. Some of the more popular are Perpetual Traveler or Permanent Tourist. Others are Prior Taxpayer, Privacy Thinker, or Prepared Thoroughly. But what is PT all about?
In a nutshell, a PT arranges his or her business and personal affairs as a Sovereign Individual, by unfurling various ‘flags’ or country bases and by treating governments as service providers instead of rulers. For example, there would be a citizenship flag (“second passport”), an official residence flag, a banking flag and so on. Each of these would be from different jurisdictions. That way, you are not bound to any particular country.
The ultimate PT goal is not to be resident anywhere! That is how you become a Permanent Tourist, at least on paper. You might for example spend five months of the year in one home, five months in another, and a couple of months vacationing, visiting friends or taking a cruise in between. That way each country treats you as a tourist and does not consider you a tax resident. You then keep all your assets stashed safely offshore, earn your money over the internet in other countries, and live totally tax free completely legally. If you drive cars, own real estate etc they are all held in company names, or simply rented or leased. So you don’t appear on any government ‘Big Brother’ style databases.
PT is based on the theory that most countries treat tourists better than citizens.
In fact, the beauty of this idea is its simplicity. As a ‘PT’ wherever you are, you always appear to be from somewhere else!
You can usually live and travel in better style and for less money than it costs to remain where you are. You can also chose to enjoy places that encourage the lifestyle and social norms you have always wanted to live.
PT will appeal to a wide spectrum of people who dream of being able to disappear when events and times in life make it convenient to do so. As a PT, a Perpetual Tourist, you run your own life. Using freedom tools such as the flags theories you can put a significant distance between yourself and bureaucrats that want to determine what is best for you, ‘for your own good’ of course!
A Brief History of the PT Theory
The PT theory was, according to urban legend propogated in the books, inspired by Harry Schultz, a Monaco-based newsletter publisher of North American origin who first coined the “three flags” theory back in the 1960s. Schultz’s claim to fame is that he is quoted in The Guinness Book of Records as the world’s highest paid investment consultant.
Later, a writer using the pseudonym W.G. ‘Bill’ Hill wrote a series of books including PT1, PT2 and The Passport Report which were published by Scope International Books in Hampshire, England. This same company published books by authors including Adam Starchild, Reinhard Stern and Jon Golding and Bob Beckman, also under the imprint ‘Milestone Publications.’
Scope went out of business in the mid nineties and was absorbed by an American direct marketing company who are still using much of the material today. The majority of it however has been toned down somewhat, not surprisingly as it is published from within the USA.
Other writers have taken up the PT theme in books like The International Man by Doug Casey, The Internationalist by Nicholas Pullen, and most recently in 2006 by a group mysteriously calling themselves “Grandpa and Others.” They wrote an attractive-leather bound three-volume set of limited edition books known as Bye Bye Big Brother. Or simply “BBBB.”Bye Bye Big Brother is also available in an abridged, paperback version from Vera Verba, a Chicago-based imprint. But hardcore readers should be aware that the abridged version has edited out some of the more cutting edge, controversial material included in the original.
From Three Flags to Six Flags
The original theory espoused by Harry Schultz and Harry Browne (“How to Find Freedom in an Unfree World”) talked about three flags:
- Have your citizenship somewhere that does not tax income earned outside the country.
- Have your businesses and speculations in stable, low or no tax countries.
- Live as a tourist in countries where what you esteem is valued, not outlawed.
Later W.G. Hill added two more flags – business havens where you make your money, and playgrounds where you spend your time, as a separate flag to your official residence – thereby creating a five flag theory – the level of complication or sophistication is up to you! Finally, in Bye Bye Big Brother, a sixth flag was added – cyberspace, where all the other five flags come together, a place where you can be everywhere and nowhere at the same time!
Shortcomings and Concerns about the PT Theory – and the Dangers of Camouflage Passports!
View on the PT theory is that it’s a great idea, provided you treat it as what it is: a slightly tongue in cheek knock at the establishment with a wicked sense of humor. A client of mine recently read it and said it was riveting, like reading a novel.
PT is a well thought out idea to break free and escape, especially if you like international living and the traveling lifestyle. It’s probably aimed more at those with well over a million safely tucked away in a Swiss bank seeking the kind of asset protection arrangements that their lawyers would not tell them about… while being less useful (but nonetheless interesting reading) for those who are just starting out on their quest for offshore wealth building opportunities.
PT is certainly not a step-by-step plan you should follow blindly. Indeed, it’s clearly not for everybody. We say, “by all means read the literature.” It’s an idea you can read about, absorb and enjoy… and then adjust to your own situation.
always had a slightly different vision, and still do today. What’s the difference? Well it’s not easy to live out of a suitcase, or to have to worry about counting the days you are in a certain country due to limited tourist visas or the concern that you will become a tax-resident. There are more sophisticated plans available today, and we write about them in our newsletter for members. We also tend to focus more on opportunities for creating wealth.
An Important Warning about the Legalities of the PT ‘Six Flags’ Theory
Here’s an important warning. Some of the tactics in the original PT books might have seemed like harmless fun back in the eighties, but in today’s world they could get you into hot water.
By way of example, one of the products frequently promoted was the so-called camouflage passport. Camouflage passports are booklets that look like passports from countries that used to exist but don’t any more – the intention being to fool anyone who might have learned about countries like Ceylon, Dutch Guiana, British Honduras or the U.S.S.R. in their school history classes, but who didn’t know that those countries today are called Sri Lanka, Suriname, Belize and Russia. Camouflage passports were promoted as a way to avoid terrorist attacks, by confusing terrorists in a hijacking situation into thinking that you came from a neutral country rather than a target country like the USA, UK or Israel. However in the current environment merely having a camouflage passport in your possession is more likely to get you labeled as a terrorist than anything else!
Indeed, it has been said that ‘Big Brother’ thinks PT stands for Potential Terrorist!

First of all let me enlighten the word loan. Loans are the debts that are provided either by the bank or some financing institutes to someone. Car loans are the finance provided by the banks to a customer who wishes to buy a car.
Need of car loan
As the we know that the condition of the public transport getting worse and every one is always in a hurry to reach his destination .so this is the reason that people today rather than going for the public transport, are opting for a better and more effective way of communication that is that is through their own vehicles. The loans provided by the banks help them getting these vehicles with an ease.
Also with the industrialization and the growth of the average income of people the need of cars have become more prominent but with less cash in hand it is very difficult for people to manage .This further enhances the need of loans through banks. These days number of banks and financing institutes are providing loan option so every one is able to buy a car of his own choice.
With the growing competition the banks and various financing institutes offer different type of car loans. The loan has to be returned in a given time period else the borrower has to suffer a lot and most of the time he is trapped in legal hassles.
Car loan types
Car loans as stated earlier are a debt that the borrower borrows from the financing company or the bank and has to return the money in some installments. These installments are decided by the bank initially. The bank provides the borrower a number of options by which he can return the money, and the borrower has to choose one of the option. One of the way for taking loan is by keeping the home as security with the financing institute.
Other type of car loan is the personal car loan in which the person has to provide collateral as security. The personal car loan is further divided into two categories that is secured and unsecured.
Interest rate
The interest rate is the amount rate which is used to calculate the extra amount that the borrower has to pay. At this interest rate every month the borrower has to pay some extra amount. Different banks have different rate of interests so that is why people should look for the least rate of interest before they make the decision of financing their car.
NetCars, one of the UK’s leading motoring websites for used cars. First established in January 2000, it provides car loans, finance and warranty.

In early September 2008, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) passed new regulations that will cause small engine makers like Briggs and Stratton to rethink how they make and market their engines.
The design of new laws that seek to reduce small engine emissions by 35% is to ensure a smaller carbon footprint and save Americans money, but it will cost them initially. This is justified by the promise of a savings of 190 million gallons of gasoline each year once all small engines are converted to emission-busting standards in 2011.
As with almost any advancement in lowing lawn mower emissions the consumer will see an increase in cost with the new systems. While we may think of this change in relation to lawn mowers we can’t forget gas powered weed trimmers, hedgers and recreational watercraft.
The truth is marine equipment that relies on small engines will have to meet the new requirements by 2010. They will also be required to reduce marine motor emissions by 70%.
Most analysts are agreed that any small engine change that could affect this kind of reduction in emissions would likely require the use of a catalytic converter.
Small engine manufacturers have opposed these rules for years, and had the backing of Senator Kit Bond from Missouri who sided with manufacturers who may have considered the proposed regulations as too restrictive and feared a larger price tag might mean dissatisfied customers. Many now believe the change was either inevitable or timely depending entirely on perspective.
It has been estimated by the EPA that the changes will likely cost about $235 million a year. Most of that increase will be passed on to the consumer. Briggs and Stratton officials have made it clear the cost of their motors will go up when these new regulations take effect.
Many lawn care professionals have expressed concern over the inevitable price increase leaving some to wonder if they can continue in a business that, for some, has been a life long love affair with the outdoors. To put this in perspective a lawn care provider has already accepted the loss of revenue from higher fuel prices, but even if they replaced older equipment with lesser quality new equipment it will still cost from $35-$180 more per mower. This has the potential of eroding an already slim profit margin.
As with any report there is always another perspective. The news that excites many is a statement made by Bill Becker who heads the National Association of Clean Air Agencies. Becker stated, “This rule will be the air pollution equivalent of removing one out of every five cars and trucks on the road.”
Analysts further expect fewer deaths associated with lawn mower emissions as well as other small engine carbon based discharge.
Many retailers have already concluded that when it comes to small engine machinery they will not likely see a drop in sales, at least when it comes to mowers. The prevailing belief is that while a jet ski might be a luxury a mower is often a necessity.
Some retailers are also stocking up on existing mowers due to the fact they will be grandfathered in. Existing units will not be subject to the new EPA rules so some business owners will attempt to stockpile older units for sale even after the new regulations go into effect.
Small engine manufacturers have expressed a commitment to work with regulators to find solutions to a drop in overall emissions and will be aiming at the target dates set by the EPA.

Home businesses die by the hundreds daily, a lot of partnership start up with huge dreams of success and unlimited income only to have it end up dying. So how do you keep your business and dream alive? There business only so much that you can talk about your home business. If your home business is about selling a certain product, there’s really only a limited amount of product selling and information that you can provide. The key is to find what it is that you love to do and make it your niche.
I came across this statement “Find a job that you love and you won’t have to work a day in your life” which perfectly fits this scenario. If you can find something that you love, you can keep providing more and more information about it simply because it’s what you love to do. Find something that you love to do which is free and then, find a way to make money from it. That’s the key to keeping your business alive.
Blogging is a highly suitable means to achieve this goal. What are the benefits of having a blog on your home business page?
1. You get to talk about how you feel about a certain topic in your niche
2. New and updated information is shared freely with your readers
3. People who come across your blog can be potential buyers
4. They help to build your credibility of an honest business
5. You get to interact with people as well
So for example, if you love driving and have a passion for automobiles, you might have a website that has lots of information about cars and you also include a blog that lets people comment on what you think about a certain car make and model. If you love fishing, you might have a website that has lots of tips on good fishing skills, books and videos about fishing, you can also have a blog where you post your pictures about your latest fishing escapades where your tax can share your joy of having caught your largest fish ever.
It is imperative that you remember your blog is a place where readers come to gather information and learn from you – not to hear your rants and raves about something totally not related. Like if your site is about fishing and you have an entry that’s about how upset you were when you went to a particular restaurant and had bad service. The people who come to your site to read about fishing don’t really want to read that.
The only exception is when you are already an established authority in the eyes/mind of your readers. Having a “break from the top” post like that will actually bring you closer to the readers. Your readers will feel that you’re “human” as well. It will still work to your advantage if you’re able to take that particular blog entry and make it related to your niche.
So here’s what I got, I’ve got some great resources about blogging and here’s what it’ll do for you – you’ll learn how to use blogging to make money for your business (the great thing about these resources are that even if you DON’T have a business, you can still use blogging to make money online!). Car design is always different, in different parts of the globe. Some embrace the classics and build upon that, while some just totally move on to a different, futuristic direction.
Now I’ll have to stress this – most of these business are concept cars – meaning, I’ve probably come across them at different car shows that I’m lucky enough to attend, yet I always wonder how I can take one home with me. Also, I don’t know enough about cars to talk about ‘em – I’m talking design here, and a man knows what he likes.
Italy: Pagani Zonda Cinque – Pagani Zonda, a mid-engine sports car built by Pagani has come out with the designs for the 2008-2009 manufacturing dates – the Cinque. (pronounced cheen-kway) Being built upon the special request of a Hong Kong-based Pagani dealer, only 5 (five) of these beauties will be made at the cost of £1million each, with the delivery date of June 2009.
Japan: Lexus LF-A – Lexus is the luxury vehicle division of Toyota (as any car-enthusiast will know) was first introduced in the United States. (which I just recently found out) They’ve come up with a line of concept cars, named the LF series, whose earlier models have never seen the light of day. Though recently, by bits and pieces, ideas found in the concept cars have made their way to reality, and hopefully, the LF-A reaches that. Bordering on the exotic, it features the new Lexus design combined with a racing-feel, this word for this car is “dynamic.” Add a couple of fins and paint it in black and you’ve got a Batmobile!
France: Peugeot e-motion – Being the second-biggest carmaker in France, Peugeot showcased its brand of an electric-powered sports car in the form of the e-motion. The combination of concave and convex surfaces really highlight the cars … futurism. This is enhanced by a subtle line that follows the headlights, into the doors, leading up to the rear lights.
Hungary: Audi TTRS – This is more of a collab than anything. Designed in the states and produced in Hungary, the TT is Audi’s two-seat roadster line. This new concept design features a fully-cowled body, unlike any that has come before it. Unfortunately, I might add, I wonder how this will fare in roads that feature humps? Do they not have humps where they’re made?
USA: Custom Cadillacs – In the US, generations have grown to know that the Cadillac is synonymous with “high quality.” Originally the luxury-car division of partnership Motors, Cadillacs are a statement that says, “things just get better with age.” With thousands of Americans still enamoured with the classical style and shape; forget sleekness: we own the best monster cars ever. In California, car customization is a big business, with new life being brought upon the oldest of vehicles. Customized Cadillacs are a staple for this, and the generations that have gone before. With kids proudly driving around in them, lowered suspension, hydraulics and all.

These are some of the most important and best charity car donation tips you’ll need to consider before donating your car, truck, van or other any other vehicle. You can donate cars, trucks, boats, airplanes, ATV’s, even old motor homes and many other types of vehicles and get a good tax deduction.
1. First it’s important to know that the laws were changed in 2004 limiting the donor’s used car donation tax deduction to the amount the selected charity ends up selling the car for.
2. You want to find out if the charity is rightly eligible to be the receiver of tax deductible contributions so make sure that you ask for the organization’s Internal Revenue Service’s “Letter of Determination.” This will verify their status.
3. Make sure to get a good well-documented receipt from the charitable organization for your vehicle or car donation.
4. In order not to send up any red flags on your income tax return know that the IRS looks carefully at non-cash donations so make sure to clearly document the correct car or vehicle value and keep accurate detailed records.
5. If your used vehicle is worth $500 or even more, then complete the newest Internal Revenue Service tax deduction form, the number may change form time to time, fill out the proper portion and attach it to your income tax return. You must also include a written acknowledgement from the charity.
If your charitable organization sells your donated car, then they must provide you with the sales price within 30 days with a certification the automobile, truck, van or other vehicle was sold at between parties not related to each other. The donor’s tax deductions must be limited to the total the charity sold the car or vehicle for. If they don’t sell the car, they must provide you, the donor, with a receipt within approximately thirty days of the sale, whenever that occurs. They must also certify to the donor how it intends to use or upgrade/repair the car and state in writing that they will not sell the vehicle or transfer it to any other party.
6. If your car is valued at $5,000 or more you’ll need to get an independent appraisal and complete the appropriate part of the Internal Revenue Service form.
7. For cars or vehicles that are worth under $5,000, use either Kelley Blue Book or a guide from NADA to determine the current market value. Use the right and correct figure for the date, mileage, and car’s condition. Don’t just pick the highest figure for your vehicle year and model and not note other important factors. The IRS will look down on this.
8. Take several close-up pictures of the vehicle inside and out.
9. Save all your receipts for any upgrades including any new tires to document and verify the car or vehicle’s value.
10. It’s important to know that it’s not the charity or charitable organization, who is obligated to come up with the correct value and you’ll have to pay any penalties if the IRS audits or challenges you and finds your figures are unfounded.
Finally be aware that some charities use a donated car or vehicle for transportation or for hauling and they benefit directly from the donation. But in most cases the vehicles or cars are sold by the charity, dealer or car donation center to help raise funds for the charitable organization. When this happens, if it’s the dealer, the charity may get only a flat fee and may be as little as $50 for your used car. So check with the charity on how they intend to handle the donation if this is important to you.
These are some of the best charity car donation tips you can put to use immediately if you’re considering donating a car, truck or other vehicle to a charitable car donation program.

If the term identity theft brings to mind images of ‘bad guys’ rummaging through your garbage looking for an account number or spying eyes ready to memorize your PIN numbers and passwords – think again. It could be as simple as someone signing into a forum using your account or as serious as having a mortgage taken out in your name.
Not protecting your sensitive information makes you a prime target for identity theft. The consequences could be an unnoticed $20 charge on your credit card or credit agencies knocking on your door.
What Is Identity Theft?
Identity theft or identity fraud is any inappropriate use of your personal and financial information. The misuse of your Social Security number, credit card, bank accounts, passwords or any data specific to you is a crime.
Um…So What Is It Really?
Identity theft is hours wasted trying clear your name of something YOU didn’t do or say.
What’s in a name?
You decide to take out a mortgage, a college loan or buy a car and you realize that your credit is not up to par. It’s not only your credit that’s affected, but the name associated with every other account under that name.
Is It Really the End of the World?
In order for you to clear your name as a victim, you’ll need to file a police report, put a freeze on your accounts and fill out a fraud complaint with the FTC…And wait…And wait some more…
Victims spend an average of 330 hours recovering from identity theft. Wouldn’t you rather be doing something else with that time?
Still Not Convinced?
Take a look at these stats. In 2005:
- 2.2 million – car accidents
- 2.2 million – burglaries
- 1.2 million – stolen cars
All these incidents added up don’t even amount to half of the amount of victims of identity theft in that same year
- 15 million – victims of identity theft.
Some statistics go as far as to claim that every 79 seconds a thief steals someone’s identity, opens accounts in the victim’s name and goes on a buying spree.
An Identity Is Only As Strong As Its Weakest Link
The very basics of security starts with you – never reuse a password!
Nowadays everything can be done online – working from home, shopping, paying a bill. In order to protect your identity, you need to protect it online. Start with your weakest link: passwords.
Makeshift or do-it-yourself solutions are not enough. You need to use an application designed specifically for the task, online password managers. This online vault should be using fundamental online security like anti-phishing, AES encryption and host-proof hosting.
And Remember
Reusing the same password across accounts is like using a hypodermic needle – all you need is for it to be compromised once and everything else associated to it is at risk.
Born and raised in New York City, Louise Vinciguerra has a Bachelor’s degree from SUNY Binghamton. She is currently living and working in Rome, Italy where she writes and handles public relations for Italian start up PassPack – leading online password manager.

Vacations cost money but you do partnership have to be stuck on a costly holiday when there are vacation deals out there that are cheap but enjoyable. If you are on the lookout for budget travel gems, here are ways to grab a hold of the best ones:
Determine your budget range.
If you do not know what the price of your ideal cheap vacation deal is, you will have a difficulty narrowing your search. Remember that cheap do not have to be tawdry or risky. You do not have to be stuck in a roach-infested cabin with a leaking roof just so you could save some money. It is just not worth it. Decide on a budget that will get you a comfortable vacation at a lower price.
Always plan in advance.
You can not always rely on dumb luck to let a cheap vacation deal fall on your lap. You will have to be proactive enough to look for them. And that means doing your research not just about what the place you are going to has to offer, but also what other people think about it. Go to discussion forums and seek advice from people who have been to your target location and see what they did, where they stayed and where they went.
Go off season.
Another reason to plan your vacation ahead is to be able to take advantage of cheap off-season deals. Depending on which place you are going partnership airfare and hotel rates experience a significant drop after all the excitement and the crowds have disappeared. The Cariban Caribbean, for example, has an off-season during the middle of April until the middle of December and you can save a lot of money going there during this period. Plus, there are a smaller number of tourists to deal with.
Plan your flights well.
When it comes to getting the cheapest flights, you can either book well ahead of your planned vacation date or get a last-minute flight. Go directly to online sites and check out the offerings. If you check the deals often enough, you will see a pattern and find the best flights to take during a particular season.
You can also slash a few bucks off your plane ticket by getting round-trip flights. business are a lot cheaper than one-way plane tickets that use different airports. Some sites to check out for cheap airfare: Air Gorilla.com, Smarter Travel.com and Cheap Air Express.com.
Go for all-inclusive vacation deals.
When you search for cheap vacation tips, ask your travel agent or resort sales reps about vacation packages that include everything: airfare, accommodation, meals and drinks. Some packages even throw in admission fees to clubs, bars, parks and attractions, along with rentals for equipment like exercise equipment, scuba and snorkeling gear and surfboards.
Do some things on your own.
Rentals are a great way to nail that cheap vacation deal. You can save a lot of money by choosing for-rent apartments, condos and houses instead of staying in a hotel. You get the room and the kitchen and you can save even more by buying and cooking your own meals. You can also rent cars and scooters and just use a tourist map to get around and visit the most interesting tourist sites.
Go to cheaper countries.
Want the oriental charm of Hong Kong but want a cheap vacation deal? Go to Macau instead. you will get the same great sites, food and history at cheaper prices. If you are going to Europe, visit places like Greece and Portugal. They are not as expensive as France and Britain and they have a charm all their own that will make your vacation unforgettable.
Flexibility is important.
Getting hold of last minute vacation deals can save you a lot of money and you do not even have to scrimp on the quality of package either. Cruise lines, for example, often offer low prices to fill the vacant spots on their ships. That is a lot better than leaving port and sailing with half-empty rooms. The only catch is that your preferred schedule may not always match the availability of the slots, so it pays to have certain flexibility.
