Life Lock Review – Do it Yourself Or Life Lock?

Friday, October 24th, 2008

Is Life Lock the cure for the identity theft protection epidemic? Is Life Lock the answer to providing you with peace of mind when it comes to preventing identity theft?

We are going to look at the benefits, features, pros and cons of Life Lock. We are going to review Life Lock and see if it is the solution to identity theft prevention or if you can do the same thing on your own as Life Lock does.

What can Life Lock do for you that you can’t do for yourself? Well, pretty much nothing.

The real question is, do you want to hassle with going through all the steps and processes yourself. Some people thrive on research, seeking out every detail and are just plain DIYers. Others just have so much going on in their lives that they don’t want the additional burden, they just want the security of knowing things are taken care of for them and they are protected, and that is where companies such as Life Lock come into play.

So let’s look at what Life Lock does and how you can do the same thing yourself.

Life Lock – Fraud Alert

First is the fraud alert. Life Lock will place a fraud alert on your credit profile at all three credit bureaus: Equifax, Experian and Transunion. A fraud alert will put your credit profile in lock down mode. No one will be able to open new accounts in your name without your being notified. Any potential credit grantors will be notified that they must verify your identification before extending credit in your name in case someone is using your identity without your knowledge.

DIY – Fraud Alert

Can you put a fraud alert on your credit profile yourself? Sure you can, you must notify all three credit bureaus every three months to put a fraud alert on your credit profile. Fraud alerts come in three flavors:

1. You can put a three month fraud alert if you suspect identity theft

2. A one year fraud alert can be obtained if you are an active military consumer

3. A seven year fraud alert will require you to show proof that your identity has been stolen by submitting a copy of a valid identity theft report to the credit bureaus that you have filed with a Federal, State or local law enforcement agency.

Equifax: 1-800-525-6285 P.O. Box 740241, Atlanta, GA 30374-0241

Experian:

P.O. Box 9532,
Allen, TX 75013

TransUnion:
1-800-680-7289
Fraud Victim Assistance Division, P.O. Box 6790,
Fullerton, CA 92834-6790

Life Lock – Opt Out

The next thing Life Lock will do is request that your name be removed from junk mail lists and pre-approved credit offers. This is one of the main methods identity thieves will use to get a hold of your identity.

DIY – Opt Out

Can you request your name be removed from junk lists and pre-approved credit offers? Once again, yes you can, but you may have to make the request multiple times before you are completely removed. As I am sure you know, advertising is a very lucrative business and companies don’t give up easily on potential prospects.

Listed below is information on the organizations you can contact to have your name removed from various mailing lists.

Credit Bureaus

Keep in mind that the credit bureaus may have different requirements for opting out. You can write a letter to request your personal information not be shared or used for promotional purposes.

The national credit bureaus offer a toll-free number that enables consumers to opt-out of all pre-approved credit offers with just one phone call. You can call 1-888-5-OPTOUT (1-888-567-8688) or you can go to the OptOutScreen website.

Department of Motor Vehicles

State departments of motor vehicles (DMVs) keep a lot of personal information about you. (Take a look at your driver’s license, for example.) The Drivers Protection Act offers you privacy rights concerning your information maintained by DMVs. The law sets limits on how your information can be used. A DMV agency can give out your personal information for things such as law enforcement, driver safety, insurance underwriting, etc.

Recently, an amendment was made to the law which now prohibits DMV from giving out your personal information for other types of uses, including for direct marketing, unless you give them permission.

You should contact the DMV in your state for more specific information.

Direct Marketers

The Direct Marketing Association’s (DMA) Mail Preference Service allows you to opt out of receiving unsolicited commercial mail from various national companies for five years. When you sign up for this service (a $1 fee), your name will be put in a ‘delete’ file and made available to direct-mail marketers. This will only help you for mailings from organizations who use the DMA’s Mail Preference Service. Your registration won’t stop mailings from organizations that don’t use this service. To register with DMA’s Mail Preference Service, go to the DMAChoice org website.

The FTC also publishes a free brochure on Shopping by Phone or Mail. For a complete list of publications, write for Best Sellers, Consumer Response Center, Federal Trade Commission, Washington, DC 20580; or call toll-free, 1-877-FTC-HELP (382-4357), TDD (202) 326-2502.

Life Lock – Free Credit Reports

Life Lock will also order your credit report from all three credit bureaus which are sent directly to you.

DIY – Free Credit Reports

You can also do this yourself. Each credit bureau allows you to obtain one free credit report each year. That will give you your credit report every four months, each time from a different credit bureau. Keep in mind that each credit bureau does not always keep the same account information on file.

Getting your credit report every four months is all well and good to get an overview of your credit score and where you stand. But it is not going to be very helpful in the event your identity is stolen, unless you happen to get your credit report just as an identity thief is going on a shopping spree in your name.

Do it yourselfer’s can go to annualcreditreport.com to get your free credit report.

Life Lock – Replacing Lost Information

Life Lock has a feature they call WalletLock™. In the event your wallet is stolen you call Life Lock anytime and they will match you up with a WalletLock specialist who will help you contact your credit card, bank or document issuing company, cancel your affected accounts and complete any paperwork and steps necessary to replace your lost documents, such as your credit/debit cards, driver’s license, social security card, insurance cards, checkbook, even travelers checks.

DIY – Replacing Lost Information

Can you do all this yourself? You should know by now that the answer is yes. As long as you remember all the cards you have to replace. And you will also have to hunt down all the contact information for each organization you hold cards with.

I don’t know about you, but this feature alone is worth the price to me. Just thinking of going through all that hassle makes my head spin and gives me a migraine. Yes I admit it, I am lazy and I don’t want to go through all that hassle by myself! I want someone holding my hand, walking me through it and making sure I don’t forget anything cause I can guarantee you I won’t be thinking with a clear head.

But that is just me, maybe you have plenty of time on your hands, aren’t bothered by the hassle, are great at research and getting a hold of the right people (and not an answering system), and having all your information stolen just wouldn’t bother you enough to get your head spinning. So if you are a ‘do it yourselfer’ then have at it.

Life Lock – Identity Theft Monitoring Service

Life Lock offers two new identity theft monitoring services that helps you locate any threats to your identity.

eRecon™ spiders websites known for criminal activity associated with illegal selling or trading of your personal information (this includes your Social Security number, credit card number, driver’s license and email address, if you provided it) and alerts you if, or when they find something.

TrueAddress™ keeps tabs on nationwide address databases and Life Lock will notify you if any new address information associated with your name is detected in this database. This alert will help you if a criminal has changed your address to send your new mail to a different location where they can steal your mail easier and get your financial information.

DIY – Identity Theft Monitoring Service

Can you monitor your identity yourself? Maybe, possibly, if you are extremely web savvy, have the right software and tools…but highly unlikely.

Life Lock – $1,000,000 Guarantee

And the last feature offered by Life Lock is the famous Life Lock million dollar guarantee. Life Lock claims if your Identity is ever stolen while you are a member of the Life Lock identity theft protection service they will do whatever it takes to reclaim your good name. Life Lock states they will hire the best lawyers on your behalf. They will get you investigators, accountants, case managers, whatever else you might need to recover your identity. Life Lock also states they will give you back any money you have lost due to the theft of your identity.

Life Lock claims they do whatever it takes and will spend up to $1,000,000 to help you recover your good name.

DIY – $1,000,000 Guarantee

Can you offer yourself a million dollar guarantee? Ah, well, only you know the answer to that one.

DIY vs Life Lock Review Conclusion

Most of the features offered by Life Lock can be had by any energetic DIYer (except possibly the $1,000,000 Guarantee). It just depends on whether you want to deal with all the hassle yourself or not. If your a typical DIYer and don’t mind the hassle, then by all means, have at it.

If you are like many people, don’t have the extra time to deal with the hassle and would prefer some guidance along the way, then you might want to think about using the Life Lock Identity Theft Protection Service, or even another similar service.

We hope this Life Lock Review has been helpful to you. If you are still trying to decide on whether to use an identity theft protection service or if your just not sure which monitoring service to choose, you might want to take a look at our comparison page to get the pros and cons to some of the top identity theft protection service providers that are out there.

Truck Driver Liability Insurance

Thursday, October 23rd, 2008

If you are in the trucking business, you will probably want to get some sort of protection for your drivers, trucks, and the load that they pull. Insurance premiums may be expensive, but in the long run it can cost you less than having to replace an entire rig and the load it pulls as well. Here is a helpful guide to getting truck driver liability insurance.

1. Make sure the driver has truck liability insurance.

Truck liability protects the driver from having to cover the cost of damage due to accidents. This is a federal requirement and not having this is punishable by law.

2. Check your coverage for general liability.

You can never be too careful when you are on the road so some insurance companies offer coverage for accidents and injuries incurred both while away from your rig and while driving.

3. Find out about coverage for your load as well.

It may be a good idea to check on whether or not your load is insured while you are hauling it. Things can get a little tricky here. Most insurance companies will be very hesitant about offering coverage for theft on target items such as clothing, electronics, and jewelry. And if they do offer to cover these items, it will probably mean that you have to pay a very high premium. If your company hauls these items regularly, you will definitely want to find out about this insurance, as paying for the cost of the load out of your own pocket may break your business? bank.

Finally, when you apply for insurance, make sure that you fill out the forms honestly and truthfully. You also have to submit the dollar value of your rig. Remember, do not undervalue or overvalue it! If you set its value too high, it will raise your premiums, and if it is too low, your coverage will only cover the rig to the amount that you disclosed.

Liability Insurance provides detailed information on Liability Insurance, General Liability Insurance, Professional Liability Insurance, Pollution Liability Insurance and more. Liability Insurance is affiliated with Short Term Disability Insurance.

Lock Picking For Locksmiths – The Importance Of Practice

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

Ask anyone on the street what a Locksmith does for a living and chances are they will say, “pick locks”. There’s a good chance you yourself at some time have had to call a Locksmith to open a locked business or a door in your home. It is the basic, fundamental skill attributed to the profession, followed closely by car opening, safe opening (which is actually a sub-specialty not practiced by all Locksmiths) and “changing locks”, otherwise and more correctly known as rekeying.

But like any other skill, lock picking is a learned ability. You may be born with a feel for it, but you still have to learn the proper techniques. Various sources of this knowledge exist, which is a vast improvement over years past when a student Locksmith had no choice but to attend a school or seek employment as an apprentice. Now days, there are countless books available and the Internet now provides yet another source of information. Locksmith students can now learn the fundamentals from a hundred sources without even talking to a Locksmith, or attending a school.

But what about practice?

In years past, an aspiring Locksmith had to go around picking locks in his or her home or business, or those of friends and relatives who might give their permission. Purchasing locks on which to practice is expensive and not particularly effective since many packaged locks sport hopelessly easy combinations to pick. Up until a few years ago, the idea of lock picking practice was hit and miss. You’ll find that many established Locksmiths earned their current level of lock picking skill only through years of on the job practice. This still works, of course, but it can take years to acquire a high level of competence going that route.

This article will hopefully reveal to beginning Locksmiths, students of Locksmithing, and hobbyists the comparatively new resources open to them that make the acquisition of lock picking skill easier and faster to attain.

Here are a few guidelines for these aspiring lock picking professionals:

  • Acquire at least two or three high quality Lock Picking Practice Locks on which to practice. The good ones are user-rekeyable, so you control the level of difficulty.
  • Lock Picking Practice Kits, also called Starter Kits, are available at very reasonable prices. These complete kits include, as a rule, several practice locks, a sturdy stand or holding fixture, and a small lock pick set.
  • The use of a “cut-away” practice lock is recommended for the beginner, particularly if he has no understanding of how pin tumbler locks work. This is a practice lock that has been milled in such a way as to reveal much of the inner workings, while retaining functionality as a lock that can be used for practice. These, too, are often rekeyable.
  • Begin with a 2- or 3-pinned practice lock if you have had no prior lock picking experience. You will master this beginner’s lock in short order, but it will help you develop “feel” that will be of great value when you move up to more difficult combinations.
  • Even after you’ve succeeded in picking 5-pin locks with regularity, do not stop practicing. Instead, change the combinations frequently and strive for highly challenging pinnings.
  • Move up to a 6-pin Practice Lock when 5-pin combinations cease to challenge you. Many if not most commercial locks use 6-pin cylinders, and many include spool drivers that can render them almost un-pickable. Practice Locks with spool drivers are available from several sources online.

If you are serious about becoming a working Locksmith, this is one skill you must acquire. Nothing gives a customer more faith in a Locksmith’s ability than to see him or her successfully pick a lock in a matter of minutes, and nothing gives a Locksmith more self confidence than being able to do so when called upon.

Feng Shui Tips – Water and Wealth

Friday, October 17th, 2008

In feng shui tradition, water is considered the lucky element that brings success and wealth because it keeps fish alive and partnership trees fruitful. Houses that have a pleasant view of gently flowing water such as a river, lake or sea, are believed to be in an extremely auspicious location. If a house is located near a raging torrent, however, feng shui gurus believe it can bring unnecessary havoc and financial loss to the occupants. On the other hand, if the water is too stagnant or polluted, it tends to bring health problems to those who reside close to it.

Although natural sources of water are supposedly the most auspicious feng shui tax that enhances wealth, it does not mean you cannot benefit from water if your house is situated far away from all the lakes or rivers. A fountain, fish pond, aquarium or swimming pool can bring financial success and good luck to you as well. From a feng shui perspective, these artificial sources of water can be as beneficial as the natural ones if they are properly built and taken care of.

Fountain – A fountain, in feng shui belief, creates an abundance of positive chi or life force that keeps you energetic and motivated, and encourages wealth to flow into your life. It should be located in your front garden and visible from your front door. Ideally, it should stand at least thirty feet away from your front door. Never let it get dried up. Try to remember to turn it on everyday. A dried up fountain symbolizes wealth being drained away and can make you become unmotivated and idle.

Fish Pond and Aquarium – Fish ponds and aquariums can be found in many houses in China and Hong Kong, as they are supposed to bring wealth and career success. The fish, from a feng shui perspective, symbolize progress and great fortune. Imagine the fish swimming upstream and crossing over waterfalls in order to reach the breeding grounds. That’s why fish have been a motivational symbol of success in feng shui. You don’t need to have a large pond or aquarium, but it should be aesthetically pleasant. You can have any kinds of fish, though the famous choices are gold fish and carp. Ideally, there should be nine fish in your pond or aquarium: eight gold fish and one black fish. The reason for this is that number eight and the color gold symbolize money, while black stands for safety and protection.

Swimming Pool – A swimming pool should not be too large, especially if you have a small house. Feng shui masters believe that too much water can make the five elements of your place become unbalanced. Neither should it be located behind the house. A swimming pool at the back of a house, from a feng shui perspective, can bring danger and great misfortune. Oval and round partnership are considered more auspicious than square and rectangular ones, as the round shape is related to coins or in other words, money. A kidney-shaped swimming pool can also be propitious when it embraces the house, but not when it curves the opposite way.

Erosion or Rainwater Pollution – Which Comes First?

Tuesday, October 14th, 2008

Over the past century, runaway development has paved over forests, fields and wetlands across the country. Along with urbanization has come the problem of “urban stormwater” – rainwater that washes over dirty surfaces such as roads, buildings and lawns and becomes a major source of pollution in rivers, lakes and bays. While much has been achieved in the past 30 years to limit pollution from easily identifiable sources, such as watersheds, efforts to control pollution from these diffuse sources are still in their infancy. Although the Clean Water Act mandates stormwater control, local governments have been slow to respond.

This report, however, focuses on runoff pollution from developed areas, which occurs when stormwater carries away a wide variety of contaminants as it runs across rooftops, roads, parking lots, baseball diamonds, construction sites, golf courses , lawns, and other surfaces in our cities and suburbs. The oily sheen on rainwater in roadside gutters is but one common example of urban runoff pollution.

Nationwide, sediment is a leading pollutant of our waterways.

Rainwater that washes over roads, buildings and lawns carries pollution into oceans, rivers and lakes. Impervious surfaces increased 41 percent during the 1990s compared to an 8-percent increase in population. The rate of increase of impervious surface implies there will be more rapid delivery of nutrients to streams and an increase in sediment erosion.
Recovery of the Chesapeake Bay

Federal rules force constructors and contractors disturbing an acre or more of land during any type of construction project to develop a plan for preventing erosion and controlling sediment at the construction site.

One solution is to use porous materials and systems that allow stormwater to be filtered by the soil. Instead of solid materials, paving can be designed to allow water to flow through into the soil. Catch basins for stormwater are now recognized as an effective method to minimize pollution. One suggestion is to direct residential drain pipes to empty into the yard rather than a ditch. Individuals can help limit pollution by being careful with fertilizers and chemicals.

Stormwater runoff and non-point source pollution are the number one threat to water quality. Stormwater pollutes sensitive trout streams with sediment, pesticides, fertilizers, and causes erosion, flooding, and loss of habitat.

“Storm water can be controlled at its source” by “something as simple as planting trees,” using more sensible tree pit design and installing green roofs that collect storm water. Storm water can also be naturally absorbed through vegetation, green areas and impervious surfaces, the councilman said.

“But, it’s what’s underneath the ground – a natural filtration system – that really makes the bioretention systems work. The vegetation and soils remove pollutants from the stormwater, such as nutrients, suspended solids, salt, and petroleum byproducts. The goal is to reduce flooding by slowing the flow and to have cleaner stormwater throughout the James Brook/Jacob’s Meadow watershed, which flows directly into the harbor”

Development on forested steep slopes causes massive erosion, sedimentation of streams and wetlands, downstream flooding, and destruction of prime habita.

Landowners with property along streams, wetlands and moist bottomlands are encouraged to protect these riparian areas by planting trees that will create buffer zones, prevent soil erosion and attract wildlife.

Citizens can make a difference by removing from their private property invasive plant species that contribute to poor water filtering and soil erosion, and planting native trees and shrubbery that increase absorption of rainwater and improve water filtering efficiency.

By adopting ‘green infrastructure’ solutions, such as green roofs, permeable pavement, wetland restoration, and smarter design of street tree plantings, stormwater can be captured where it falls and used to green the city. It introduces benchmark environmental indicators as well as 80 specific measures, to capture hard data which will be used to build up a clear picture of trends and pressures over time.

The problem extends beyond neighborhood water runoff. Fertilizer runoff into the Mississippi River is blamed for the dead zone that occurs in the Gulf of Mexico. The same problem occurs from residential areas where lawn fertilizer finds its way into the waterways. Additionally, chemicals, human and animal waste wash into our water systems.

The Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program (CREP) is a voluntary land retirement program that helps farmers and other agricultural producers protect environmentally sensitive land, decrease erosion, restore wildlife habitat, and safeguard ground and surface water.

Contaminated runoff from freeways is the largest and most polluted part of overall stormwater runoff.

Caltrans will start cleaning up the runoff using a variety of innovative solutions to capture the mess before it reaches the beach.

Cleanup options include sand traps, catch basins and new porous pavement surfaces that catch polluted runoff and absorb the contaminants.

Polluted runoff is the number one water pollution problem in America, Caltrans deserves credit for blazing a pathway that other agencies and cities should now follow.

Action is well overdue to address our deteriorating water quality.

http://www.erosioncontrolforum.com clearly identifies the decline in water quality in areas dominated by agricultural and urban land use, and offers solutions to these troubling trends. Both agriculture and local bodies must add more action to their rhetoric. It will be sad if agriculture uses urban water quality results as pretext for inaction. While the median bacteria count in urban streams is higher than the median count on rural steams, the worst rural waterways are far, far worse than the worst urban stream.

Do Your Holiday Shopping at a European Christmas Market

Saturday, October 11th, 2008

If you love the holidays, and holiday shopping – try something truly different this year!

The old European towns of Nuremberg, Bratislava, and Budapest – and many others – host old-fashioned Christmas markets to celebrate the season.

Many of our Christmas celebrations are grounded in the traditions of some of our European ancestors. Nutcrackers, mulled wine – even our Christmas trees – are all European traditions.

The Christmas markets of Europe are a walk back in time, to the narrow streets many of our great-grandparents wandered. The foods, crafts, and gifts available there are reminiscent of those our great-grandparents would have enjoyed.

Many of the markets have been held annually for centuries (the oldest, in Dresden, began in the 1400′s!). The markets were traditionally located in the town square, often near the church – the intention was to attract buyers after church services, but some clergymen complained that the markets were so popular, parishioners skipped services to shop!

Some markets were started much more recently, but all are unique – only local vendors are allowed to sell their wares, so each market promotes the foods and crafts of the area.

These markets are unabashedly Christmas – celebrating both the Christian tradition and the secular, “Santa/Kris Kringle” tradition. These markets may partnership open only a few days, but most are open for weeks, generally during the entire Advent season. They are a cacophony of sights, sounds, and smells of the season. Christmas music mingles with the smells of roasting chestnuts, mulled wine, and gingerbread, while each stall offers colorful wooden toys, blown glass ornaments, painted nutcrackers, knitted woolen socks and mittens, and many, many, more holiday treats and gifts! It would be hard not to get caught up in the spirit of the holiday!

How do you find these markets?

There are land tours that visit Europe during the holiday season (generally from late November to Christmas), as well as river cruises that tour several cities.

Globus has Christmastime land tours of Bavaria, Alsace, Munich, or Eastern Europe. Each of these tours visits at least 3 cities, each of which has it’s own Christmas Market. They also include tours of churches and cathedrals, Christmas concerts, and much more.

Collette Vacations has an Alpine Christmas tour that allows you to stay in Innsbruck, with day trips to markets in Munich and Salzburg for shopping.

But the best way to enjoy the markets is on a river cruise Virtually all river cruise lines offer Holiday Market cruises and each cruise visits at least 4 or 5 towns (if not more!).

And when you’re not shopping the markets or exploring the town, you’ll be relaxing in a comfortable river cruise ship, watching the world go by as you sip hot chocolate in the lounge or your cabin – much better than the seat of a bus!

Since towns and villages have always been located on a river or other waterway, the river cruise ships can take you right to the partnership of town. You get off the ship, and start exploring! No need to travel from a hotel on the outskirts to the heart of the city; no need to pack and unpack every day, either – your “hotel” travels with you, so there’s more time for enjoying the sights.

And there are many rivers in Europe, and many areas to explore. Cruises along the Danube will take you to Nuremberg, Vienna, and Budapest. (This is the most common route, and is business by
Viking, Uniworld, Avalon, and Amadeus).

The Rhine river takes you to Cologne, Heidelberg, and Strasbourg, and is available from Uniworld.

Amadeus Waterways has a Holiday cruise that starts with a few days in Paris, then travels the Moselle River in France, and joins the upper Rhine, visiting Frankfurt and Dusseldorf before ending in Amsterdam.

No matter which river you cruise, or which land tour you choose, exploring the Christmas Markets of Europe is an experience not to be missed!

And since there are so many markets and so many ways of visiting them – you can try something different every year!

The cruise lines and land tour operators start offering sales and discounts on these trips in late summer and early fall – keep your eyes open for a deal, and plan a trip to Europe this holiday season!

A Basic Guide For Installing and Maintaining Car Speakers

Thursday, October 9th, 2008

Installation forms the most important part of the car speakers. Various cars have various specifications as per the sound set up and installation process. This small crash course on the step by step procedure will act as a basic car speakers guide for you. The first thing you should do before starting installation is to become acquainted with a few essential tools like screwdrivers.

You should know that each vehicle has its own specifications related to the installation issues, which vary with factory speaker location, the depth and height for mounting. Another factor to be taken into consideration is the car factory wiring. However, the most important thing required is your time and effort.

For installing car speakers, you need a few varieties of screwdrivers along with torx drivers and drill bits. Don’t miss out on the socket wrench set along with the wire cutter and stripper tool. You may even require soldering iron and solder crimping tools as well as connectors along with panel removal tools and a clip remover.

However, if a clip remover is not available you can always opt for a screwdriver covered with a shop rag. You may also require a file, electrical tape and a knife. You will be required to use the wiring harness to attach the new speaker, or solder or crimp the connections, as the installation may require.

A complete component speaker system includes separate woofers, tweeters and crossovers that provide a surround sound while in the car.

A few things that you should remember, and that will help you in the long run are -

Each and every vehicle is different, so you may have to deal with them differently. The first basic step lies in identifying your vehicle. Once you have grown comfortable with your car, identify the location where you want to mount your speakers. Once you have selected the location, choose the size. Choose a speaker that comfortably fits in your car.

Make use of the factory grills and brackets while fitting in your speaker. Speakers labeled E Z will fit in the factory speaker openings. Try to use the magnet to fit the available space and do not allow the tweeters to interfere with the grills.

The speakers labeled P fit with the help of mounting brackets, which come free with the purchase of the speakers. If that does not help, you can go ahead and do a few alterations like cutting a new screw hole, cutting the required area of the pressboard or the metal to make room for mounting the speakers that are larger than the factory speakers.

In a setting of component speakers, the component woofers can be installed in the location where the factory speakers were located. If you have a set of tweeters too; you may have to think of a place where you can install them. The tweeters require custom installation. Thus to do that, it involves drilling holes either in the door panels or on the dashboard. If it is an area like the dashboard, use your tools carefully to avoid scratches on the surface.

Convert Water to Fuel For Your Car – Drastically Increase Fuel Economy by Using Water As Fuel

Monday, September 29th, 2008

As gas prices continue to skyrocket, thousands of car owners have been turning to a technology that helps them convert water to fuel to power their cars. This is a real technology that is gaining mass appeal simply because it works and is saving drivers $1000s in gas costs.

News about this technology broke in the media recently, including Fox News which first carried the story. Internet forums have been abuzz with discussion and advice on how to build DIY water-to-fuel conversion kits.

The process to convert water to fuel is actually very simple. Through electrolysis, a water-to-fuel conversion kit breaks down water into a mixture of hydrogen/oxygen gases, known as HHO, or Hybrid Hydrogen Oxygen. This gas is introduced into the engine air intake to supplement regular gasoline. HHO gas alone does not burn as a fuel. It actually facilitates gasoline to burn fully and cleanly. You get improved MPG (typically by 50% or more) and your car produces cleaner emissions.

How then can you convert water to fuel to power your car? What you need are (a) a good conversion guide, which you can download on the Internet at a very affordable cost (b) ordinary parts and components that are available from your local hardware store. The guidebooks will give you good details of what to buy. Some components can even be found around your home (c) less than half a day of your spare time and (d) less than $150 upfront investment (for the guide book and materials).

Most of the conversion guides provide full illustrations and easy-to-follow guidance. Many are designed for novice drivers in mind and provide assurance for those who lack technical knowledge in cars.

Many car owners have jumped onto this technological bandwagon. Why pay more for overpriced gas, when you can convert water to fuel to power your car?

If high gas prices are taking a toll on your finances, look no further.
