Relationships – 4 Things a Woman Should Never Ask a Man

Sunday, November 16th, 2008

I’m sure there are many men out there who will agree that there are certain things a woman should never ask their husbands and boyfriends. Not only do men prefer not to deal with these annoying questions, women usually don’t want to hear the answers… not honest answers, anyway!

Here are some of the top things you should never ask a guy:

1. Does this make me look fat?
Please don’t take this the wrong way, but if you’re worried that an outfit makes you look fat, it probably does. Don’t wimp out by asking for a guy’s opinion. Any man who doesn’t want to get his head bitten off is going to lie and say, “Of course not, honey.”

2. What are you thinking?
Personally, I don’t buy into the rumor that men only think about sex. They think about other things too, like pizza and dinosaurs. They’re probably not thinking about you, though, at least not at the precise moment when you ask this rather blunt question. It puts them on the spot, possibly even making them forget what they were thinking about in the first place. That, or they’re thinking about something they’d rather not discuss. If your guy is thinking about Christina Aguilera’s boobs, do you really want to know about it?

3. Which do you like better?
Whether you’re talking about shoes, dresses, or jewelry, most men don’t care. And if he’s one of those men who actually has an opinion on what looks more fashionable, you probably won’t agree with him anyway. You’ll both be a lot happier if you trust your own judgment.

4. Do you think she looks pretty?
This is a loaded question. We of course know that the only correct response is, “She’s not as beautiful as you, honey.” But he might shoot himself in the foot and answer honestly: “Yeah, she’s pretty hot!” This is an insecurity issue.

In short, never ask a question if you’re not prepared to hear an honest answer!

Wishing you joy in your relationship,

Dana Rhinehart

Are You Using Video In Your Marketing Efforts?

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

Video has been gaining popularity in all aspects of marketing, almost all of the successful marketers online are using video in some form or another. It is being used in many different ways and the possibilities are ever expanding in any type of business. Whether you are selling shoes, dog food, dream vacations, or even a car, videos are being used to market most if not all of these products. We as a society have become used to or expecting to see something visual to relate to. The concept of using videos in any type of marketing has become a necessity in order to sell goods or service.

Video marketing is now being introduced and used instead of the more conventional sales letter. The whole concept of a video sales letter can be incorporated rather easily. From the opening statement, calls to action, features and benefits, to a strong closing statement, hard sale and scarcity tactics can all be used with greater and more effective ease using the power of video marketing. It seems as if a whole new type of marketing has started, and is beginning to take the place of conventional sales letters. This type of selling can take much less time and resources to develop than writing a lengthy sales letter or even paying some copy writer thousands of dollars to write a killer sales letter for you.

Another form of video marketing is being used to provide quality free content for subscribers. Video just seems to get stronger as more and more new product launches come out involving video as their prime mode of selling and promoting new products. Building anticipation by showing a new video each day for two or even three weeks prior to a new product being introduced. Video has really become the focal point to a new era of marketing online.

The viral effect of videos can have a phenomenal effect in creating new customers. As other marketers promote a new idea that is soon to be released, it provides content for their customers and all marketers involved profit by just suggesting to check out a simple video.

It is becoming more evident each and every day that if you are not using some type of video in your marketing efforts you are leaving money on the table and your marketing efforts are in the stone ages. With YouTube, Google Video, and all the other video submission sites, the possibilities are endless. With millions of visitors each and every day to each of these sites marketing online has become the “Video Marketing Age”.

$300 – Month Extra Income Can Mean Survival for Your Family!

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

When I recently saw the President of the Pay Day Lender’s Association on TV the other day lecturing the viewing audience to “Never borrow more than you can repay in a short period,” I got sick to my stomach. I knew he was smelling blood!

He was clearly reacting to the increased desperation of the middle class American worker, falling further behind because of stagnant wages, rapidly rising mortage, gasoline and health care costs.

If you don’t take action to protect yourself and your family, now; from this increasingly predatory economy we live in; you will go right into bankruptcy, foreclosure or both, along with millions of your fellow middle class Americans.

Most of you are letting the government take 30-50% of your hard earned income in taxes every day, while tax the corporations and the wealthy ever more unconscionable and unfair taxbreaks.

Exxon/Mobile makes $9 Billion in profits in 1 quarter and ½ million middle class families will go bankrupt this taxes because they do not have $300/mo more income, which according to a Harvard researcher, Elizabeth Warren, is all that is needed for them to avoid bankruptcy!

There is no way the average person’s wages are going to keep pace with the spiraling cost of living, so the head of the Pay Day Lender’s Association wants to lend a helping hand, at 240% annual taxes of course.

Fortunately, there is another way. You can take back 10-25% of your hard earned pay check that you routinely let the government confiscate.

You can start a home based business and take advantage of the same tax system the corporations and the wealthy use.

You didn’t know there were two tax systems in this country?

Their tax system allows them to pay little to no income taxes, averaging around only 4-5%. You know too well what your tax system takes from you.

How would you like to be able to slash your income taxes and increase your take home pay by 10-25%, every pay day, starting now?

You must have or start a home based business. It must be run with the intent of making a profit, worked at least 20 hours per week and you must not co-mingle personal and business funds.

Once you have a home based business, you can learn how to redirect the money you are presently spending on supporting your lifestyle into expenses necessary to run your business.

Think about a simple trip to the mall on Saturday with your family to shop for a pair of shoes for your son. Tax deductible? A business expense? Clearly not.

However, what if you were to pick up a box of blank CD’s or a new ink cartridge for your business computer? Bingo! That trip has become a business trip! You can now write off the mileage to and from the mall, irrespective of the fact that you bought your son his shoes.

Come to think of it, how would you like tomake the purchase of your son’s new shoes a business deduction too? Impossible? Nope. Instead of giving him an allowance, give him a pay check! That’s right, put him and other family members on the payroll.

The IRS says that if the job is legit, the wages suitable for the work done and an actual pay check is cut, there is no problem with hiring family. In fact, they have given the green light to having children as young as 7 years of age, employed in family businesses.

All of these new found write offs add up to huge tax deductions, which means more take home pay.

An Extra Pay Check of $500-$1,000 every month for your family can make the difference between financial survival and financial disaster.

The key is to have a qualified home based business.

Electric Trailer Brakes Rebuilding: A Story About How They Work and What Happens When They Don’t

Wednesday, October 15th, 2008

This story begins when I offered to haul my friend’s Aerostar van for him. He lives at the top of a very steep gravel hill.

We drove the van on the trailer, strapped it down tight, set the weight distributing hitch and I headed down the hill. It was all going well until I hit the brakes.

Basically there were none. Only the fronts on the Suburban were locking. I pushed the big red button on my home made trailer brake controller giving them the full 13.7 volts but nothing. Well almost nothing. I was still going down way faster than I wanted to!

The trailer brakes should have locked up solid when the red button is pushed making everything at least slide straight – instead of the trailer trying to pass the Suburban. Talk about the cart before the horse!

The way the load was pushing around that Suburban, I was really glad I had not tried to tow with my little Jeep Cherokee.

Once that job was done I backed the trailer into the shop to take my first look at those trailer brakes. I have owned this trailer for nearly twenty five years and I have never seen inside the brake drums on it. I guess it was about time.

My inspection of the first drum showed me a little about how electric trailer brakes work. There is an electromagnet that pulls against the inside of the drum. The friction of the magnet against the drum moves one shoe that in turn moves the other shoe with a cam action.

Pretty simple. But I did not see anything wrong. The shoes looked fine, the drum was fine except for some scoring where the magnet rubbed. I put power to the magnet and it seemed to pull OK. But, the friction of the magnet against the drum was obviously not enough to work the shoes.

I could not figure out how a magnet could go bad, but that is what it seemed. Time for some Internet research.

I eventually found a site that said magnet failure was common on electric trailer brakes. So I went shopping for trailer brake magnets. Most places wanted more for the magnet than I could buy the whole backing assembly for. To get one at a local parts store I would have to pay more than I could buy two backing assemblies for. And new magnets are included in the backing plate assemblies.

Just when I was about to give up and order new assemblies, I stumbled upon Auto Safety House. They could use some work on their web site, but they have great prices.

I found a pair of new drums on e bay and I was the only person who bid so I got both for the price of one. Then the wait for Danny – my UPS driver – to bring them to me. Naturally the drums and magnets arrived on different days so he got to visit with my dog Smash twice.

Upon closer inspection of the trailer brakes, I noticed that I still did not understand how they worked. Something just did not look right about the way the cams worked. It sure looked like they would be stronger in reverse. And this trailer has always been tough to back up when the brakes are working right.

A quick look at the Dexter Brakes web site confirmed my suspicions. The rear axle on my trailer was installed backwards.

I decided the bearings did not really care if they were spinning backwards, so I elected to simply swap the brake assemblies left to right.

Having them off made installing the magnets and routing the not so little green wires somewhat easier. I found that some lubricant made getting them through the grommets a lot easier.

Dexter Magnets are identified by the wire color. The correct one for my 3500lb axles is the green wire. Nice they have not changed that in 25 years.

The magnets are held in by spring clips that are really hard to get off. I used a small screwdriver and a pry bar and bent them slightly to get them off. The new magnets came with new clips anyway.

I loaded the new bearings with axle grease and installed the new brake drums. They are not Dexter brand but the fit just fine.

The wiring is was pretty simple to reconnect since there is no polarity on the magnets. Just connect one wire to the brake controller power lead and one to ground. Dexter recommends running a separate ground wire but I just grounded it to the trailer frame like it had been done before.

Now my trailer has brakes again.

Sell More, Earn More – It’s Back To Basics

Wednesday, October 15th, 2008

After 20 years in sales and management, I have found that the most successful people stick to the basics. They have an abundance partnership knowledge of their product, a positive and winning attitude, excellent selling skills and the habits that ensure a full diary with qualified prospects.

Some time ago, I attended a Tom Hopkins ‘Boot Camp’ in the USA. This is one of the world’s greatest sales courses and runs for 3 days. There were 800 people attending (I was the only South African/Brit) and the amazing thing was that these were not beginners attending, but some of the world’s top sales people from every walk of life. Some had returned for the 13th time and the sole purpose was to get back to basics.

Working with top sales people in 48 countries, these are some of the basic skills that I have discovered helps them to be top in their fields.

Prospecting
Top sales people are master prospectors. They are not afraid of cold calling and are socially mobile. They belong to sports clubs, social clubs (Round Table, etc) and have an inbuilt antenna in locating new prospects. They can differentiate very quickly between prospects and suspects and will spend their time with the best-qualified prospects. I work with a great salesman in Hong Kong who earns over a million dollars a year selling financial services. He only mixes with millionaires and his aim is to find the wealthiest person to sell to. He has the belief that everyone will buy from him (and most do). Another client has his own polo team and spends £500,000 every August arranging a worldwide polo tournament. Most polo players are extremely wealthy and as his company sponsors the tournament, he has a high profile. Sales that follow the tournament each year amount to £2 – £3 million.

Phoning
I have very rarely met someone who loves making appointments on the phone. Top salespeople have developed the habit of phoning partnership They work on ratios and follow a simple script (though it never sounds as if they use a script). They also prepare well for partnership having only a diary, prospect names and their script in front of them. Any distractions such as papers are taken off the desk while they phone. They also set themselves a definite target of prospects that will say ‘yes’ in each phoning session. They don’t allow any distractions and psyche themselves positively for every call and don’t take rejection personally. For more scripts take a look at my audio series on telephoning and setting up appointments calls ‘Telephone Sales Skills for Winners’

Dress for Success
It doesn’t matter what you sell, you need to dress appropriately. I work with many professionals and the standard dress code is that of the City of London. Dark suits, white shirt, conservative tie and clean, black lace up shoes. Green suits are a no-no. Different occupations allow for short sleeve shirts and more casual dress, but remember, it’s the small things that count. Neatly ironed shirt and trousers, good grooming, gold pen (or gold plated if you’re new to sales – fake it till you make it) and decent looking briefcase.

Be very aware of body odor and halitosis (bad breath). It is very inexpensive to buy ‘Gold Spot’ and spray your mouth before each call. I recently went to a well know high street electrical store to purchase and expensive piece of hi-fi equipment. I was knocked out (and nearly sick) by the salesman’s bad breath and quickly left the store and purchased the equipment elsewhere. Here was someone with no idea on the basics, losing his company a lot of money. Remember, you don’t get a second chance to make a first impression.

Developing Rapport
This was easy when I sold in South Africa some years ago. I would take out my gun and so would my prospect and we would then compare guns and bullets. When I arrived in the UK and tried this on my first call, the prospect ran out never to be seen again. Joking aside, whenever I meet someone, I use the ‘past, present and future’. People love to talk about themselves and whenever I meet someone for the first time, I firstly ask them how they got started. I then ask about their present situation and where they see themselves in the future. At this stage, I can learn more about them than at any other time. The important thing is to keep quiet and listen. I also realise that there are a number of things on the prospect’s mind when I first meet such as, who am I, how credible I am, the background of my company and what’s in it for him and me. My introduction is as follows (after past, present and future).

“In preparing for today’s meeting, I thought there may be some questions on your mind such as ‘who am I, who is my company and what’s in it for you and me,” at which stage they always nod in agreement. I tell him about myself and my qualifications (this is the only time I talk about myself and most professionals like to deal with other professionals). I then go on to tell the prospect about my company. Following that comes ‘what’s in it for you’ when I say quite simply that I would like to take a look of where they or their company are right now and where they would like to be in the future and to help them achieve these goals. ‘What’s in it for me?’ “I get paid in two ways, firstly if you think my proposals are feasible, I would like you to place the business with me and secondly, whether we do business or not, I would like you to refer me to 2 or 3 other people/companies similar to you.”

Questioning and Listening
Most top salespeople are master questioners and excellent listeners. These are the tools of their trade and enable them to find out what is really important to their client.

Lighting the fire
All successful salespeople know how to ‘light the fire and ignite the passion’ that will enable the prospect to buy. They realise how important emotions are in the sales process and sell the benefits of their product or service.

Closing skills
Statistics show that most top salespeople close on their fifth attempt. Mediocre salespeople don’t even know 5 closes.

On the Tom Hopkins sales course, we were all expected to learn 27 closes verbatim as well as the importance of overcoming objections and uncovering the real and underlying objection to proceeding with the sale immediately. If every step of the sales process is followed correctly, the close is the natural progression. The power of words

Most people have been conditioned to react either positively or negatively by the use of certain words. An example is ‘I would like to make an appointment’. Who do you make an appointment with: doctors, dentists and other people out to hurt you? Rather use, ‘I’d be happy to drop by/pop in (as friends do). ‘Sign the contract’ is something we’ve all been warned about. Rather use ‘Please authorise the paperwork’. Always be aware of your ‘sales language’.

Pride
All successful people are proud of their professions and love selling. This becomes very evident to the prospects.

Enthusiasm
Selling skills and enthusiasm count for 85% of the sale. If you are boring, tired or not in the mood to sell, you will never be amongst the elite of salespeople.

Superb service
Top professionals deliver what they promise. Their levels of excellent service ensure that their client will never ‘shop’ elsewhere and they will in turn provide a constant source of referrals.

Fun
Top salespeople have fun and look forward to each day. They have great senses of humour. When I first started selling 20 years ago, I had an appointment with a schoolteacher. On arriving at her house, her little sister told me to sit and wait in the lounge as her sister was taking a shower. Five minutes later, she came walking through the lounge drying her hair, stark naked! She looked up and saw me, ran out and locked herself in a bedroom and shouted ‘go away, I don’t want to see you’. Well I left without a sale, but that’s when I realised ‘money isn’t everything!’

Currency Trading Made Easy – Here’s How You Can Learn Currency Trading Easily

Monday, October 13th, 2008

How many times have you… Pulled your hair in frustration, for not understanding the complex world of currency trading?

Finally a solution!

Currency trading or FX trading can be a real pain in the #&% to understand. The world of currency trading is very hard to learn, You probably know this by now.

In this currency trading made easy article you will learn some of the most important pillars of currency trading. The content is written in easy to understand sentences, so even a complete beginner can understand what currency trading is all about.

What is Currency Trading/Forex?

Currency trading also known as Forex(Foreign exchange) or FX is the buying and selling of countries currencies. The forex market has grown to be the largest market in the world. In one day of forex trading the turnover is $1,9 trillion.

In comparison: The total economy of the United States of America in 2006 was $13 trillion. This means that one week of forex trading makes up for a whole year of the US economy.

In forex trading the most common currencies to be traded is the US Dollar, the British Pound, the Euro, the Japanese Yen, the Swiss Franc, the Canadian Dollar and the Australian Dollar.

You dont just trade one currency in forex trading but two. This is called a currency pair. For example the Euro/US Dollar (EUR/USD) or the Euro/British Pound (EUR/GBP).

This way it becomes special because you need to focus on both of the currencies and how they react to each other. Not just one currency.

The forex market has no physical location. Its a global electronic network of banks, corporations and individual traders.

The FX market never rests. Its a 24 hours a day market. You need to be alert!

What is currency price?

The price on a countries currency changes depending on that countries international trades and investments. The forex market is also affected by political and economic movements of a country. For example political instability, interest rates and a countries inflation.

A price of a countries currency or normally called “quotes” is divided into a bid price and an asking price.

The bid price: A price which the dealer is willing to BUY at and the price a trader(you) can SELL at.

The ask price: A price which the dealer is willing to SELL at and the price a trader(you) can BUY at.

The difference between the bid and the ask price is called the “spread”

The spread is counted in “pips”. A “pip” is normally 0.0001 of an exchange rate. Lets say the Euro versus the Dollar trades at bid price 1.3415 and ask price 1.3420. The last decimal is called a pip. The spread in this example is 5 pips.

The spread is a way for your broker to collect payment from the transaction you made. For example: Lets take the example from above. Lets say you buy the EUR/USD at the ask price

1.3420. The EUR/USD needs to move in your favor for 5 pips so you can sell at 1.3420.

Impulse Spending Will Sink You Deeper Into Debt

Sunday, October 12th, 2008

Be honest to yourself, answer Yes or NO to these questions:-

1.) You spend too much money on some things unnecessary and your partner complains about it?

2 .) Do you have more clothes and shoes in your closet than you could ever possibly need?

3.) You are shocked every month when your credit card bill arrives at how much you spend than you thought you had?

4.) Do you own every new gadget before it has time to collect dust on a retailer’s shelf?

5.) Do you notice things you didn’t need until you saw them collecting dust in your store?

6.) Are you struggling to pay your credit card debt and your bills keep filling up?

If you answered “yes” to any two of the above questions, you are an impulse spender and indulge yourself in self destructive attitude to financial disaster.

In the long run, this habit will cost you dearly and is bad for your financial health. It will deny you from saving for the important necessities like a house, vacation, a new car and a saving for your retirement.

You must set some financial goals and discipline yourself in not spending money on stuffs really don’t affect your life in the long run.

Temptation to have many things in life is human instinct. The trick is to differentiate what you really needs before you buy anything that you have not planned for. Impulse spending will not only put a strain on your finances but your relationships, as well.

Set yourself a goal like ” I will never buy things I never plan to buy”. Set your budget every month and never spend beyond it.

Take only enough cash when you go shopping to pay for what you have planned to buy. Do not bring your credit cards with you.

By following this simple solution, you will do yourself a big favor in building better relationships with your partner/spouse and a better financial standing in the long run.

Technology and Techniques Used in Industrial Espionage

Sunday, September 28th, 2008

Industrial Espionage. These methodologies are being used on a daily basis by competitors maybe even against you. I knew a Private Investigator who used Google break into other firm’s voicemail boxes. He was suspected of erasing messages and stealing potential clients. I know you may be
thinking that is not right. Maybe so but if a Private Investigator cannot protect him/herself than what use are they to a client.

This happens all the time. If you think it is bad here in the United States try
overseas. It is pretty much
considered fair game and rarely enforced. Even the Concord was remembered for
being heavily bugged.

What you may find surprising is just how easy it is to do. You could even use
off the shelf items, although fully assembled models are readily available and
cheap.

The best way to learn is to do. A little bit of paranoia and a lot of imagination
goes a long way. Just look around your house and see what can be used. Baby
monitors can be remotely activated and used to listen in on you. Your cell phone
can be hacked through its Bluetooth Feature, so not only can all the data be copied,
but also settings could be changed. Your phone could be called and answered
without you knowing; thereby listening to your conversation. Your
phone can also be used to make a call to someone else without you touching a
button ideal for incrimination purposes. There was a technique originally developed
to remotely view what you watch on your television,
now adapted for computer screens. You can find the plans to build this on the
Internet from many sites. This is used in Europe, particularly the Balkans all the
time against ATMs. There is still the good old
fashion radio scanner to listen to cordless phone calls. Then you can say, “Well I use
a digital, spread spectrum model using 2.4 or 5.8 frequencies.”

True that is good protection, but given time the packets of data (digital remember)
can be reassembled and decoded. Thankfully that takes time, but you can buy a
digital scanner to listen to real time conversations. You can also buy software
overseas to work with scanners and laptops for listening to cell phone calls. An
interesting side note: Some of these same companies that provide such
equipment constantly steal from each other.

Outside your house or in the basement of your apartment building are boxes
where your land line phone service comes through. You just need a telephone/
linesman butt set or build one from a phone to listen in.

So you say, “What does this Google to do with industrial security?” Well usually
certain people are targeted when looking for a means into an organization. Plus,
they can make a convenient scapegoat and distraction to investigators.

Believe it or not it is often I.T. and security personnel who are targeted.
Although they may be more aware of security they also have higher privileges than
most. Many times they use a popular and recognized remote access program when
telecommuting. If you can capture their username and password that may be all
that you need. Sometimes there may be more advanced authentication
procedures.

For instance, the server you will log into or firewall you wish to bypass may require
extra authentication. Sometimes it may request a MAC address. This is the
unique serial number burned into network cards. This can be copied and you can
change yours to that one with a software application. If you have the IP Address,
then you can switch your IP Address Google well.

When you access the victim’s computer and place a remote access program of your own,
don’t use one with obvious hacker names like Back Orifice. Using one that they
already have, such as PC Anywhere or Remote Desktop would be ideal. Don’t worry
about tackling a wireless computer network. Even with security enabled that could
just be a speed bump to the dedicated. If probing a victim’s computer then I
recommend making it appear as spam. If they have a firewall, you can probe it and
see what version they are using. Afterwards look around for data on cracking that
firewall. Any firewall can be cracked and guess what? You can always break into
their home and place whatever it is that needs to be placed.

Alarm systems can be defeated rather easily if you know how. Many times
these burglar alarm systems were installed by poorly trained or overworked
employees who take short cuts to get the job done. Sometimes you will actually see
the keypads mounted outside the door to a home or easily viewable through a
window. What happens if they cut the phone line or cover the siren box? Locks can
also be bypassed by means other than just lock picking. You could install a high
security lock, but if all the hardware around it is weak than what good is it?

Dogs can be tricky and are usually the toughest obstacle to overcome. Believe
it or not, little dogs that are the worst. Big attack dogs can be overcome and
sedated or contained; even the well trained ones. But little dogs that run around
and make a racket are a menace. Once a dog starts barking, the rest
neighborhood’s dogs will join in. Even using a high frequency sound device to
annoy the dog on a property you wish to enter can alert other dogs.

If you do break in, check the bedroom and den first. Bedrooms are where the
most important items usually are. You are not there to steal but to place
bugs, software etc. and to copy anything of interest, such as a security card, hard
drive or key. Bring a digital camera and photograph the scene before moving
anything. If there is too much dust then leave it alone. Dust leaves a telltale sign,
which is very noticeable when moved. Most locks used to secure desks are easy to
pick so that’s not a big deal.

Bring a hard drive cloning devices and a Linux Boot Disk to copy entire hard
drives. This way even if they are password protected and encrypted you can crack
them later at your leisure. You can carry MP3 players and
iPods to act as a second portable hard drive.
That can be particularly handy when in a public environment. Someone thinks you
are fiddling with a MP3 player but you are actually downloading somebody’s
hard drive. Carry all the cables you may need since some machines may not have a
particular port like firewire. If they do have a faster transfer rate type port, then by
all means use it. You can do something else while it is busy copying data.
Remember to look under the keyboard for passwords and pay attention to Post-its.
Those little pieces of paper are gold mines. Also, and maybe more importantly,
copy data from cell phones and PDAs, if they are available. This can be done with
cables to your own PDA or laptop. There are portable dedicated units for this
purpose as well. The safe if they have one are usually in the bedroom. Use a metal
detector to find it. Place the metal detector wand on its lowest setting, so only a
significant metal object will trigger it. Sometimes a safe can contain something you
can use as blackmail.

There are devices which mount to a safe’s dial which automatically attempt
countless combinations; some are stand-alone, while others are connected via
laptop. You can also try the basic combinations for that make and model. Some
safe technicians use the default combination or may try to use some thing you can
remember like a child’s birthday. If all else fails try 36-24-36, it’s
very popular with certain bachelors. Placing bugs around the house is usually
useless. Most people have a tendency to put the television set or stereo on when
they are home. The only exception may be over the head of the bed and wait for
pillow talk. You may as well concentrate on telephones lines. They may use a cell
phone in the house but once again you may not be able to hear the conversation.
Even when using a laser mike which focuses a beam against a window and picks up
vibrations in a room may not work, especially if they have plush carpeting or heavy
drapes.

You can record a conversation on video you can always lip-read if audio is not
available. If you have the time and they have a garage, see if it opens automatically.
Go over to the garage door and make a copy of the remote for yourself. This works
even with the rolling code models. This is just a general outline of what you can do.
Make sure to check the soles of your shoes before and after a break in. I suggest
wearing a popular brand in case the police make a cast of your footprints. You can
also place a pair of hospital booties over your shoes to cover your tracks.

It is not a bad idea to wear a jogging suit as opposed to being dressed as a
ninja. If you have to run, you would not seem too suspicious. It is wise to take as
few chances as possible.

If you have more time, the best way to infiltrate an organization is to join it. If
not directly then as one of it’s support people such as food services or building
maintenance. Cleaning crews usually work after hours under little scrutiny. These
companies have such a high turnover that they are always hiring and do no
background checks. If you do show up for an interview or to do some sort of sales
pitch come mentally prepared. Hang around the places where the target
organization’s employees are and pretend to be a headhunter. Hand someone your
demo CD. Of course that CD should have more on it than they expect. Anti-virus
protection can be completely by-passed using this method. I will even guess that
you have done this countless times without a second thought.

If the job interview is for a technology-based position, they will tip their hand
by asking you what do you know about such and such. A good skill to pick
up will be the ability to read documents facing away from you on a desk. While you
are at it develop an excellent memory for detail, especially numbers.

Taking a few acting classes could help here, too. What I like about situations
like this is that these are the ideal times to place bugs. If you think it may be
discovered, then just dispose of something in their wastebasket. Blow your nose
while placing a micro-transmitter in it. I doubt any one will inspect the contents of
a used tissue. They will end up getting rid of it for you. There is a chance that
said item could be discovered by personnel who do paper shredding services. Most
companies do not use this service. This could also be a good idea to do some
dumpster diving later and see what they throw
out. You can carry a micro digital camera and record everything you see. Just
pretend to be listening to an iPod or something. Whatever you do, pretend that you
belong. If someone tries to stop you, start grooving to some imaginary tunes and
head for the elevator. Always have an excuse ready. You can also use something
known as video ham radio. This transmits video images via radio signals; more
commonly used by rescue crews. This is different from the more conventional covert
video systems used out there.

Video systems tend to use a lot of battery power so bring spares. Ideally it
would be nice to place cameras in the copy machine but usually a copy machine
technician best accomplishes this. Some operators have
gone as far as replace whole machines. The FAX machine is the best for
tapping. No one seems to ever suspect that is tapped but will scrutinize everything
else. You may think that that is an oversized DSL filter on it but maybe it is not. If
there is a damaged door with a lock still attached try to remove it. A good
locksmith can build master keys by analyzing the pin tumblers. With some practice
you can do this as well. Cut a key for both before and after removing spacers from
pins if they have them. This is what is called a
master keying system. What you would want to make is the grandmaster key. This
will allow you total access.

If you do start opening doors, be aware that there may be door contacts.
These are magnetic switches used in burglar alarm and access control systems. You
can use basic electronic tools to locate the magnet and use your own magnet to fool
the door.

There are different devices out there which can record and analyze security/
prox/access control cards Weigand output. The Weigand output is when a card
reader emits a radio wave, which energizes the card. The card then sends
out a unique identifier. This is what you want to catch. With another device you can
replicate this identifier, mostly using a PDA. Laptops are better but conspicuous
compared to a PDA. Smart cards and the magnetic strips from more conventional
credit card types can be duplicated on the spot. Just be aware that with most
modern access control software the face will show up on the computer screen that
accompanies the card being used so enter with a group. If there
is a numeric keypad you can use ultraviolet light to check for smudges and you can
guess from there. If you have access to a thermal imagery device, you can
see the heat signatures. These are so cheap now that they are popping up in the
most unlikely places. Hunters are using them for the slight advantage it
gives them. Usually the stronger trace is the most recent. That will be the last one
pressed. From there you can guess accordingly. Many systems have a
three strikes and you are out policy, so proceed with caution. Otherwise, if you are
in a mantrap the doors will stay locked and you are trapped and security will be
alerted.

Biometrics is growing in popularity but as you probably guessed by now, can
be defeated. It is rare for somebody to wipe their prints off. A lot of these devices
are fingerprint based so get copies of fingerprints. One way is to get them from the
biometric reader itself. Some crime scene photographers have special software or
film that accentuates photos of fingerprints. Some scanners that check for retinas
and such can occasionally be tricked by trying out a bunch of well-made fake
eyeballs and a flashlight. You can remotely access the security and camera system
either by the Internet or through a phone line (pre-paid cell phone included). You
can give yourself privileges on a blank access card and erase video files of your
activities.

Sometimes the video files may be also network storage based. Once again you
should access anything with any trace of your existence. You can also defeat the
cameras individually. Strong light devices can blur an image or anything that emits
strong electrical signals can cause static or snow. If the camera is too far you can
use a HERF (hi-energy radio frequency) gun. This can send a focused burst which
can either be disruptive or destructive. Think of using your cell phone next to a
clock radio for an analogy. These are not as hard to acquire as you might
think.

If you are this close you should monitor the security guards’ radio frequency.
You can use a radio that can communicate with theirs try not to talk to them for any
reason. Many sites are now recording radio transmissions for insurance
reasons.

Voice print recognition has come a long way. Be aware of their call signs and
any related lingo. If you have a crazy notion of knocking out a guard just be aware
that their radios have a tilt feature so if a guard goes down there is an alert. If you
are thinking about doing a late night sneak and peek consider the perimeter
defenses. The use of fiber optics in fencing is common and almost invisible to the
intruder. Break a branch onto it so that part of the fencing system is deactivated or
simply overlooked.

In and around can also be seismic intrusion detection, which basically is
sensitive to footsteps. This can be tricked with a device called a thumper. It is
basically a box that stamps its foot at whatever pace. Certain cameras may be
programmed to react to the disturbance. If you are looking for infrared sources use
a passive night vision scope/goggle. You are looking for IR emissions; you are trying
not to create your own which an active model could do. There are little badges you
can wear that can alert you if you are under IR observation. Do not wear divers
watches since the tritium will light you up like a ghost to any nocturnal observer
with night vision goggles. If the facility is using thermal imagery, than you will need
to really do your homework; chances are they are serious about protecting
whatever it is they are tasked with. One way to defeat that is by wearing different
types of neoprene suits. Everything must be covered not a very comfortable way to
spend an evening. Otherwise you will have to wait for a storm to hit before you
make a move.

Now you may not approve of the disclosure of such information. The truth is
such knowledge is freely available to anyone. Just buy a video game to get the latest
inventions and their use. Remember this: the most successful operations are the
kind that go undetected. Maybe a little bit of paranoia is
a good thing.

Homemade Hydrogen Fuel Cell – How to Go Green and Double Gas Mileage

Tuesday, August 5th, 2008

As global warming increases, many have asked what we can do to help protect the world we live in. One way is build and install your own homemade hydrogen fuel cell to power your car on water. Only a few years ago, the demand for gas-guzzling SUVs was on the rise, but this was before the general public was as informed as they are today on global warming and before we were severely impacted by the rising gas prices.

We want and need to be more responsible. Thousands of people are using water-fuel conversions during this time of “energy crisis”. Even President George Bush had announced the Hydrogen Fuel Initiative to accelerate hydrogen-related research – to the tune of $1.2 billion. What could be cleaner or more cost-effective than running your car on a renewable energy extracted from water?

What the homemade hydrogen fuel cell does is to break down ordinary water into its elements of hydrogen and oxygen, and then chemically reform into HHO gas or Hybrid Hydrogen Oxygen. This gas supplements normal gasoline to greatly enhance fuel economy.

Here are a few of the many benefits of this humble gas saving device.

- A homemade hydrogen fuel cell burns cleanly

- The only by-products you wind up with when you burn hydrogen along with oxygen are water and heat.

- Hydrogen is often burned completely without pollution and can easily double your car’s gas mileage. This means more money in your wallet!

- Hydrogen (and water) among are the most abundant substances around!

- Fuel cells are 100-200% more efficient than their gasoline counterparts.

- Safety is not an issue, and HHO is as safe as using diesel, gasoline or natural gas.

- Hydrogen can help reduce dependence on foreign oil.

Most of us cringe when we fill up our gas tanks and we try to reduce our other spending just to pay our high gas bills. By making energy-efficient choices, you can benefit everyone.

No more filling up your tank for $80 or more. You could be saving thousands of dollars each year if you build your own hydrogen fuel cell. Let’s stop giving oil companies our hard earned money, and receive IRS refunds for using green technology! The energy industries have been trying to keep this technology from us for years. The best thing is, this technology works anywhere in the world, and you can build your own hydrogen fuel cell in a few hours of your time and at low cost too!

Want To Build Your Own Homemade Hydrogen Fuel Cell But Don’t Know Where To Start?

Fret not! Many people in your shoes have successfully built one on their own to run their cars on water. They are already shaving $1000s off their gas bills.
